Overview:
Responsible for patient education of financial policies.
Provides ongoing support for point-of-service initiatives; focusing on uninsured, underinsured, and credit risk patients.
Provides support to patients in completing financial statements and/or loan applications, establishing payment plans, and collection of payments.
The Financial Counselor must demonstrate computer proficiency and specific technical skills in reporting, tracking, and documenting patient encounters.
They must exhibit role model behavior and provide excellent customer service at all times to both internal and external customers.
The Patient Financial Counselor must perform other related duties as assigned.
Clinic Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:
00am to 5:
00pm Regular performance incentives Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education.
Health/Dental/Vision available after day one.
Annual contribution of $100 per month to eligible co-workers enrolled in the Dependent Care FSA.
Paid parental leave for new parents.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and good communication skills.
Preferred
Experience:
Knowledge of credit and collections, insurance billing/verification and follow-up preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare payment methodology including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, PPOs and secondary payers preferred.
