Responsibilities:
- Bi-weekly payroll processing - Perform journal entries and reconcile accounts as needed - Filing of quarterly/annual reports - Prepare financial reports and perform data entry tasks - Utilize accounting software to track financial transactions - Follow double entry bookkeeping principles to ensure accuracy - Become familiar enough with health insurances to answer basic employee questions - Maintain payroll compliance (adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations that govern how employees are paid) - Preparing payments to benefit vendors
Qualifications:
- Five years payroll processing experience - Associate of Sciense degree emphasis in accounting a plus - Proficient in Excel - Proficient in data entry and technical accounting procedures - Experience with payroll management systems such as ADP - Knowledge of journal entries and general accounting practices - Familiarity with accounting software for record keeping purposes - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND REVIEWED UNTIL THE VACANCY IS FILLED.
