Summary:
Manager:
Front of House oversees all front of house operations to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly.
They train and supervise front of house staff, ensure profitability and an enjoyable dining experience, and resolve customer complaints.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Hiring, training, and managing front of house staff.
Creating and enforcing restaurant policies, targets, and KPIs.
Managing restaurant staff's work schedules.
Ensuring that staff members are available for shifts.
Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to waitstaff.
Job Duties/
Responsibilities:
Maintaining positive customer relationships, processing complaints, and responding to customer needs.
Assisting with marketing events.
Checking in on dining customers to inquire about food quality and service.
Reviewing customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner.
Motivating staff during busy shifts.
Managing all bookings for events and liaising with the clients to determine event requirements.
Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
Supervising the operations of events and tending to any incidents or queries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong working knowledge of related computer software, including restaurant management software.
Great delegation skills.
Strong management skills.
Effective communication skills.
Education and
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages.
Culinary or food service management degree may be advantageous.
Proven experience working as a supervisor in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
